Hi!  I’m Eric Barao, owner of On The Road Effects!  I’m a graduate of Berklee College of Music (songwriting major) and a founding member of the power-pop band The Cautions, from the Boston MA / Providence, RI area.  I’ve also released a number of solo albums under my own name and have performed extensively throughout the Northeast. In addition to building pedals, I work as a recording engineer, producer, mastering engineer, videographer, graphic designer and web developer (whew! the creative arts are quite the hustle…).

I’ve been building pedals since 2009, and many of those pedals are now in the hands of notable players and touring musicians. They have even appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman.
